Harrison Menke is a Research Analyst at the Center for the Study of Weapons of Mass Destruction. His work focuses on nuclear forces, deterrence, and regional conflict and escalation. Prior to joining the WMD Center, he was a wargaming analyst at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), providing research and gaming analysis to members of the intelligence community. During his time in Washington, Mr. Menke has interned at several think-tanks, including the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the American Foreign Policy Council, where he worked on nuclear weapons and missile defense issues. Mr. Menke has published articles in US News & World Report, Defense News, and Real Clear Defense.
Mr. Menke earned his Master’s degree from Missouri State University’s department of Defense and Strategic Studies (DSS). His thesis, “Examining Russia's Nuclear Strategy as it Applies to Europe and its Implications for NATO,” was awarded thesis with distinction.
