Symposium 2017

The Center for the Study of Weapons of Mass Destruction’s 16th annual symposium will be held on 13-14 September 2017 at National Defense University on Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington, DC.

With the new administration taking a fresh look at many aspects of U.S. policy, this year’s symposium will consider continuity and change in the U.S. approach to managing weapons of mass destruction (WMD) challenges. Senior government officials and recognized experts will share their perspectives on WMD threats, deterrence of both major powers and regional actors, counter-WMD strategies and capabilities, and the views of key allies and partners. Please note that portions of the symposium will be conducted at the SECRET Releasable Five Eyes level. Only those people holding SECRET clearances will be able to register for the symposium.
