Kevin Marshall

Research Trainee


Mr. Kevin Marshall is a Research Trainee at the Center for the Study of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) at the National Defense University in Washington, DC.

Prior to joining the Center, Mr. Marshall spent two years in the Intelligence community as an analyst supporting the DIA at the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) as well as the FBI Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) center. Serving at NMEC he contributed to the biometric identity intelligence mission, supporting USSOCOM. There he utilized intelligence resources and collaborated with interagency partners and other combatant commands to provide integrated products. While at CJIS his role was to: receive, respond and direct emergency personnel, ensure the access control security system; processes, procedures, and policies complied with Executive Orders, agency guidelines and all authoritative guidelines and national standards.  Mr. Marshall is also a US Army veteran. He spent just under three years as an Intelligence Analyst, expertly interpreting and presenting intelligence reports across all major divisions, departments, and intelligence agencies on Fort Bragg. Mr. Marshall was an 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper who supported missions for CENTCOM performing all-source research and analysis, and built fused intelligence products to develop enemy patterns-of-life. He also served as a subject matter expert during the Intelligence Electronic Warfare / Tactical Proficiency Trainer Course. While at Fort Bragg he also supported 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade mission creating intelligence products and reports that incorporated all sources of information, including human intelligence, imagery intelligence, signals intelligence, and open-source data for lethal and non-lethal targeting. He also volunteered on numerous occasions to prepare surveillance equipment for U.S. Army Special Forces Command missions.

Mr. Marshall has earned multiple awards for exceptional meritorious service including: the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge and the Parachutist Badge. He is pursuing his MBA from the University of Maryland University College and holds a B.A. degree in psychology from West Virginia University.
