The Center for the Study of Weapons of Mass Destruction hosts a half-day seminar on the 2018 Nuclear Posture Review (NPR) on 16 February 2018 on the NDU campus at Fort Lesley J. McNair.
The seminar provided an early opportunity for those most closely involved in drafting the NPR to discuss the Administration’s vision for nuclear policy, the choices made in the NPR, and the implications going forward. The draft program features a keynote address by Commander, United States Strategic Command; perspectives from leaders in the NPR process from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, the National Nuclear Security Administration, and the State Department; and a discussion with an esteemed group of outside experts.
