COVID-19 insights offer potential solutions for intractable radiological and nuclear preparedness roadblocks and demonstrate how flexibility and adaptability can save lives. In this Spotlight Webinar, Dr. Julie Bentz will discuss how to apply lessons learned from the COVID-19 experience to public radiation emergencies, and will provide a fresh look at our well-known radiation emergency preparedness challenges and shortfalls.

Dr. Julie Bentz is a retired Major General of the United States Army. Much of her time on active duty was spent serving on three Presidents’ security councils at the White House working to reduce global threats from weapons of mass destruction. She has a Doctorate in Nuclear Engineering and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy.
